There's now another volume available here. Actually, I think it was for sale last Christmas, but I didn't purchase it. I should, though, because I'm collecting everything she's ever written. I'm just a TOTAL fan of P.D. James.
I'm also a fan of Sarah Morgan's Christmas romances. The one I liked best was set in Vermont. Oh, I'll get the title for you. It was memorable. It seems that I may have Once upon a Christmas on my Nook--I must check. Thank you for the recommendations!!Judithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06435116453270981662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7543676375857581295.post-2918339183587321432018-11-07T04:42:13.234-05:002018-11-07T04:42:13.234-05:00Don't worry, I have very little restraint in p...Don't worry, I have very little restraint in point of fact, I doubt I'll be able to wait and will probably buy my own copy of MO's book and devour it just like you. LOL! Oh, if she were to run for president... And I can't tell you how nice it's been seeing President Obama campaigning on our news these past couple of weeks. What a breath of fresh air.

I have Portrait of a Murderer by Anne Meredith and The Mistletoe Murder and other Stories by P.D. James to read this Christmas. Looking forward to both but particularly the P.D. James as I read another volume of her short stories last year and absolutely loved it. I don't read heaps of Christmas romances but one I did quite like was Once Upon a Christmas by Sarah Morgan. It's set around the mountain rescue folk in The Lake District here in the UK.

Look forward to your Christmas mysteries post.
Cathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06371069000185280668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7543676375857581295.post-18417355112356133072018-11-06T19:40:58.136-05:002018-11-06T19:40:58.136-05:00Oh, gosh, Cath!

I am placing my order the day it's released and will then devour it. She knows her characters so well and she also knows how to make her books fun, even when there's tragedy and bad times.Judithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06435116453270981662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7543676375857581295.post-58243069252395984132018-11-06T19:36:16.075-05:002018-11-06T19:36:16.075-05:00Hi Diane,

I believe she preps her questions and shares them with authors well ahead of time, YET SURPRISINGLY, so much is revealed that is not planned that undoubtedly is the result of laying a solid groundwork of preparation. Paradoxical!
And no, I have never listened to the BBC's World Book Club, but I will look it up and the BBC podcast.
Thanks so much for the recommendations, and my knitting thanks you as well!Judithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06435116453270981662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7543676375857581295.post-67191140257493686942018-11-06T06:12:55.911-05:002018-11-06T06:12:55.911-05:00Planning to get Michelle Obama's book for my d...Planning to get Michelle Obama's book for my daughter for Christmas. Have you ever listened to the BBC's World Book Club? They don't come out very often, but I love those as well. Also, another BBC book podcast, called "A Good Read", which is quite different though, involving a host and two guests, each of whom shares a favourite read and then they compare how much they enjoyed/struggled with the read (only 10 minutes per book). I never get tired of listening to bookchat, but I do run out of time! Buried In Printhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00808249065026802365noreply@blogger.com
